TEAM RANKING
Team Ranking
1. Teams are ranked for participation in three categories: regionals, nationals, and unsanctioned.
2. Teams receive points differently for each category. For regionals and nationals points are based on a team's standings after the tournament, but for unsanctioned tournaments teams receive a set amount of 300 points for participation.
3. The official goalball season for the goalball point system begins after nationals and runs to the end of nationals the following year.
4. An individual athlete's statistics and rank is not related to this category: Team Ranking. These points are not awarded to an athlete; they are awarded to a team.
5. A team has to be officially recognized by the USABA roster system and the goalball point system committee (GPSC) in order to accrue points in this category.
6. The GPSC must approve a tournament to be officially classified as unsanctioned, and make it an eligible tournament for Team Ranking.
